6TH CONVOCATION
AMEER-UD-MEDICAL COLLEGE  

The 6th Convocation of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College and the 11th Convocation of Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore General Hospital, was held on 17 February 2026, with great dignity and academic pride, celebrating the achievements of a new generation of medical graduates. 
 
On this occasion, 170 degrees were formally conferred upon undergraduate students of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College as well as postgraduate trainees and scholars of the Postgraduate Medical Institute in recognition of their successful completion of academic and professional training.
 
The ceremony was honoured by Chief Guest Provincial Minister for Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique, while Prof. Dr. Tariq Salahuddin attended as Guest of Honour.
 
The event was further graced by the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Muhammad Abbas (University of Health Sciences); Prof. Dr. Rashid Lateef ,distinguished former principals Prof. Dr. Ghias-un-Nabi Tayyab, Prof. Dr. Al-Fared Zafar, and Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Wasim (Principal, Allama Iqbal Medical College); along with eminent guests including Prof. Muneeza and Prof. Fauzia Farzana, Prof: Dr. Alia Bashir, senior faculty members, and a large gathering of proud parents and students.
In his address, Respected Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique appreciated the institution’s vital role in producing highly competent medical professionals and encouraged the graduates to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, and service to humanity while representing Pakistan with distinction nationally and internationally.
 
Worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal congratulated the graduates on earning their degrees, medals, and university distinctions, reminding them that their qualifications are a trust of the nation and must be used in the service of suffering humanity. He emphasized that medicine is not merely a profession but a divine calling, where compassion, ethics, and empathy remain the true healing force.
 
The convocation highlighted extraordinary academic excellence, particularly among female graduates. Amna Anwar achieved a historic milestone by securing 23 Gold Medals and was declared Best Graduate of AMC. Zoha Saleem earned 15 Gold Medals, while Tahreem Sana secured 14 Gold Medals, bringing immense pride to their families and the institution.
A touching moment of the ceremony came when parents were invited onto the stage to present honours to their children, acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering support.
The ceremony concluded as a memorable celebration of knowledge, dedication, and the noble commitment to serve humanity.

5TH CONVOCATION
AMEER-UD-MEDICAL COLLEGE  

                       The 5th Convocation of Ameer-Ud-Din Medical College Lahore is scheduled to take place on June 3rd, 2025. The significant event will honor the graduates of Ameer-Ud-Din Medical College marking an important milestone in their careers. 

                       Two classes of Batch 2017-22 and 2018-23 will be awarded Degrees and Medals will be given to the Position and Distinction holders.

Date: June 3rd, 2025.

Event: 5th Convocation of Ameer-Ud-Din Medical College.

Venue: Awan-e-Iqbal Complex, Egerton Road, Lahore.

Purpose: Awarding Degree to Graduates of bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery

Guest List: dignitaries, faculty members, and family members of the graduates are expected to attend.    

Program: The ceremony will include speeches, degree distribution, and possibly other academic awards.
