Department of Psychiatry

Introduction

The department is working in LGH as an outpatient department. Averages of fifty patients visit the OPD daily and a liaison is established with other departments to cover psychiatry emergencies and referrals. The training programmes under way are MD psychiatry which is a five year programme and DPM (Diploma is Psychological Medicine) a two year programme. FCPS part II trainees come to the department on rotation for three months
